By accessing or using RefConvertor, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the service.
RefConvertor provides:
You must provide accurate, current information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password.
You must be at least 13 years old to use this service. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have permission from a parent or guardian.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
Includes 3 daily credits that reset at midnight UTC. These credits do not accumulate.
Purchased credits never expire and can be used at any time. Credits are non-transferable and non-refundable except as stated in our refund policy.
We reserve the right to modify our pricing. Current users will be notified 30 days before any price changes take effect.

Your Content: You retain ownership of all references and citations you create. By using our service, you grant us permission to process and store this content to provide the service.
Our Content: The RefConvertor service, including its design, functionality, and underlying code, is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our service without permission.
Citation Styles: Citation Style Language (CSL) files are distributed under Creative Commons licenses and are owned by their respective creators.
RefConvertor provides a Microsoft Word add-in as part of the service. By installing and using the add-in, you agree to the following additional terms:
The add-in requires ReadWriteDocument permission to insert citations and bibliographies. It does not read, collect, or transmit any content from your documents to our servers.
The add-in runs within Microsoft Word and is subject to Microsoft's own terms and privacy policies in addition to ours.
The add-in requires an active internet connection to function. We do not guarantee compatibility with all versions of Microsoft Word or all operating systems.
"As-Is" Service: RefConvertor is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We strive for accuracy but cannot guarantee error-free citations in all cases.
Academic Responsibility: You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of all citations. RefConvertor is a tool to assist with formatting, not a substitute for proper academic integrity.
Availability: We aim for 99.9% uptime but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance will be announced in advance when possible.
Limitation of Liability: Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the past 12 months (maximum ₵25 for Starter plan users, ₵0 for free users).
Your use of RefConvertor is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using this service, you consent to our data practices as described in that document.
By You: You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. This will permanently delete your references and collections after a 7-day recovery period.
By Us: We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or abuse the service. We will provide notice when possible, except in cases of serious violations.
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via email or prominent notice on the website. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ghana. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Ghana.
